(1) Senior Communications and Marketing Specialists
We are looking for two Senior Communications and Marketing Specialists to join our Entertainment Marketing team for a temporary, 5 month role. The successful candidate will execute a variety of marketing and communications strategies, campaigns and initiatives in support of CBC's Entertainment programming, and will report to an Entertainment Marketing Manager. This position requires someone with a passion for content, and a flair for connecting with audiences.
Some of the duties for this position may include
Conceive, plan, and produce a wide variety of marketing and promotional materials including crafting briefs and marketing plans to drive audience tune in and engagement to CBC Gem
Collaborate with various roles across the marcomms team to create campaigns for various programs including digital marketing, PR, creative, research and operations.
Lead cross functional meetings ensuring team alignment on marketing campaign planning and execution.
Present marketing campaign plans to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage relationships and collaborate regularly with internal and external stakeholders including internal programming teams and external production partners.
Work closely with internal creative teams to deliver impactful marketing creative that aligns with the brief.
Provide articulate feedback to both internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated public speaking and networking skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
Championing diverse perspectives and ideas, and differing points of view is critical.

(2) London Reporter/Editor
CBC London is looking for an experienced Reporter/Editor to join our team starting in January, until June 2026. This is for a period of up to six months. Admittedly, we’re biased but we do get five star reviews. So read on! CBC London is committed to setting the agenda in a city and region that’s rapidly changing and growing.
The role is key to ensuring our daily radio news and current affairs, and digital/video content resonates with a range of audience members, telling stories in a breaking news environment under tight deadlines, and producing contextual pieces to help people make informed decisions. If you’re looking for a new challenge in a station that consistently brings stories of national interest to the forefront, this opportunity is right for you.
We’re a team that likes to experiment and look for new ways to tell stories. We never shy away from the quirky and weird, but serious news is always a mainstay in London. We’re looking to expand our video production, including live network hits.Are you competitive? So are we! The station’s two radio programs (London Morning and Afternoon Drive) are both number one in the market with a growing share of audience members in the 35 to 49 age bracket.
The station leads the way when it comes to collaborating with network on breaking and continuous news coverage on major stories of national interest.Please note: The opportunity is full-time, Monday to Friday, primarily daytime hours. There needs to be flexibility for some early morning, late night and weekend shifts depending upon the news cycle. It requires you to work in the London station (but there are cool and affordable rentals that don’t come with a GTA price tag!).

(3) Web Writer with CBC Arts
CBC Arts is looking for a writer and storyteller with great interview skills and a deep interest in popular culture, performing arts and contemporary art.
You are someone who is up-to-date on the latest in Canadian TV and film, performing arts, and contemporary art, and are always looking for who and what is new and next.
You are a writer first, but are able to think about how stories might work across other mediums, and have a keen understanding of how to incorporate visual elements into your stories and package them to make them appealing to an online audience.
You’re also a strong editor, able to take on edits when required.
You have a knack for finding interesting creatives across disciplines from across the country, and getting them to talk about their work in an easy-to-read and accessible way.
You’re able to see and contextualize trends in arts and culture.
You are a self-starter who always has multiple ideas on the go, but can also work as part of a team to create larger editorial packages and take assignments as needed.
Your reporting must comply with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
The team is based in Toronto, but we are open to remote candidates.
This is a 24-week backfill position.
Key Tasks:
Writes, edits, packages, and publishes digital content in a clear and concise manner.
Ensures the website and stories adhere to the priorities of the day.
Gathers and reports information from various sources.
Re-writes material as necessary to make it more relevant to the platform.
Selects photos, and video/audio clips to accompany online stories.
Contributes and pitches ideas
Publishes CBC material on social media and other platforms.
Coordinates the creation of interactive content.

(4) Iqaluit Reporter/Editor
CBC North Iqaluit is seeking casual staff to fill backfill requirements. The positions can be filled remotely.
CBC North Iqaluit has a need for two backfill reporters to work between immediately, with hours available throughout the rest of the fall and possibly into the winter to cover for staff on leave. Reporter/Editors will file content for both TV and Radio. Both positions can work remotely. Looking for candidates with experience covering remote and isolated communities. Knowledge of Nunavut and Inuit culture is a definite asset.

(5) Video Journalist Whitehorse
Video journalist with experience required immediately for about 2 months with possible extension. Airfare to get to Whitehorse will be paid.

(6) Reporter/Editor - Whitehorse
There is an ongoing need for a reporter/editor backfill for 4-8 weeks duration starting immediately. There is a possibility of extension as the need arises. Airfare to get to Whitehorse will be paid. There is also an option to do this work remotely if you have experience and familiarity working in the North.

Temps are called in to work to replace permanent employees when they take a break for holidays or special projects etc.
While Temps are employed at the CBC all year round, there are three main periods for Temp hiring:
Summer (early May-mid September)
Year end holiday break (early December-mid January)
Leading up to fiscal year end (early February-end of March)
